'Chowder Bay'

Day 03 of my 30 day challenge. This was painted on a beautiful sunny day and I wanted to reflect that. I chose to compose on this little cove off to the side of the beach, where this tree was casting these beautiful shadows onto the shallow water.  

I started off with a wash of water colours then went over the top with thicker gouache paint, to create the gorgeous blues and greens in the water.
