'Shark Island'

Day 01 of the painting everyday. This is the one that started off this challenge and it one that everybody seems to love. It was a blast to paint this scene, the rocks in the cove with the shallow greens of the waves crashing into the beach. 

this was painting with gouache and it gives me the ability to work in layers much like I would with oil paint. Going thick over thin. This technique is something you cannot do with water colours that's why I chose gouache.
